I call most of my watercolors Still Lives. My intention is to evoke a sense of serenity and calmness, as well as a splash of passion here and there. Having worked with Ceramics for many years, vases, bowls and bottles are my favorite subjects. I'm inspired by artists like Morandi (the calmness and serenity), o"Keeffe (the sensuality), Nolde (the boldness of color), and Klee (the spontaneiety).
