Welcome to my succulent garden. These digital art paintings of succulents are made from photographs I took in my garden in Los Angeles. I use both digital photography and digital painting techniques to create exciting new imagery. My inspiration comes from nature, especially cacti and succulents as they have very unique sculptural quality to them. In particular, I am fascinated with the way light affects one’s perception and the way it illuminates an object such as a plant from behind and casts interestingly shaped shadows or creates a warming glow.
