I have always lived near water. In Manhattan I lived within one block of the East River. Cross town is the fabulous Hudson and my upstate home is only a few miles from the Hudson River. When I visit Utah which is utterly barren and prehistoric and mystical I find that as much as I love it, I feel landbound. I must return home soon. That doesn't stop me from visiting the canyons and mountains and red rocks which line the horizon. But water calls to me.
