The Quest for Why Series came about in a time when I had major carpal problems and could not pick up a paint brush or pencil. After studying watercolor inks with Maxine Masterfield, I began to experiment with being creative in a new way. My day would start by going into my art studio and doing Tai Chi. In a meditative state, I would close my eyes and take the wax resist tool to draw on the watercolor paper. I would not know for sure what I had drawn until I started to pour the inks on the paper. It was always an adventure to create these pieces.
