Theese photographs were originally inspired by one of the masterpieces of Italian literature, "Orlando Furioso" by Ludovico Ariosto. They're part of a simple narrative sequence: a chased, white-dressed Angelica takes shelter inside a church in the countryside: the location i chose is the roofless cistercian abbey of San Galgano, a gothic architecture jewel near Siena in central Italy. The look of this images may remind you of Friedrich's romantic landscapes, my main reference for this project. Technical informations: ISO400 negative color film, shot with a Hasselblad SWC, scanned and digitally enhanced.
